Steps to make Bread upma:
- Heat oil in a non stick vessel and add mustard seeds,cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger garlic. Sauté till fried well.
- Then add onions and cook till golden brown.
- Add tomato and cook covered till tomato softens.
- Add the salt, turmeric and chilly powder.
- Cook till the oil seperates from the mixture then add sugar and let it carmalise with the mixture for 2 minutes.
- Add the bread cubes and cook until bread turns little crispy.
- Serve hot. (Garnish with some sec optional)
Made from chillies, onions, tomatoes and spice powders and perked up with tomato ketchup and lemon juice, this bread upma is a quick snack. You can also make bread upma for breakfast when you are bored of having regular rava upma for breakfast.
