- Take 3 cup rice
- Get 1 kg mutton
- Take 1 tbsp salt
- Make ready 2 tbsp biryani masala
- Prepare 2 cinnamon sticks
- Take 1 star anis
- Take 6 cloves
- Get 6 blk pepper corn
- Prepare 2 blk cardimon
- Make ready 4 green cardimom1 tbsp red chilli powder
- Make ready 1 cup yougart
- Take 2 large onion
- Get 1 tbsp ginger paste
- Take 1 tbsp garlic paste
- Make ready 4 tomatoes
- Prepare 4-5 green chillies
- Take Ingredients For boiling rice
- Get 2 tbsp salt
- Get 2 tbsp oil
- Make ready 1 tab spoon mix garam masala:
- Take 1 tsp cumin
- Take 2 cinnamon stickes
- Prepare 6 blk pepper
- Prepare 4 cloves
- Take For garnishing
- Take 5 green chillies
- Make ready 1/2 cup fresh coriander
- Take slices Lemon
- Get leaves Some mint
- Make ready Yellow food colour
This Biryani recipe is her creation. My eldest cousin who was a couple of year younger to mom liked minced mutton Biryani as he wanted meat in each bite uniformly. Whereas , his dad, my eldest uncle, liked Mutton Biryani. So my mother made a Biryani with both.
Instructions to make Mom's special Mutton biryani:
- Add mutton in pressure with 2 cup water boil for 15 minutes or until tender
- Soak rice for 30 minutes
- Add oil in pan make it light brown.add g g paste and some water.add tomatoes cover and cook until tomatoes mix and tender
- Now mix all spices biryani above mention in yougart.
- Add in prepared masala.cook for 2 minutes on high heat
- Add boiled mutton
- Cover and cook for 6 to 8 minutes
- Boiled rice by adding 2 tbsp oil 2 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp whole garam masala
- Strain water when 90%done
- Now time to layer biryani.remove all mutton from masala.keep some masala and oil in pan add 1st layer of rice
- Now add mutton in layer,
- Again add rice and mutton and rice again
- Now add lemon slices green chillies fresh coriander some mint leaves.and also yellow colour mix with 3 tbsp water
- Coven and cook on low heat(dumm for 15 minutes
- Now open lid.serve hot with raita and salad.
