  18. Get Ginger & garlic 2&1/2 tbs
  19. Take 2 tbs Red chilli powder
  20. Get 2 tbs Salt
  21. Take Turmeric 1 ts
  22. Get 1 tbsp Garam masala powder
  23. Take 1 cup Oil
  24. Prepare 1 glass Water
  25. Get 1 jug of water (extra to make the curry)
  26. Take 3 tbsp Ghee
  27. Get TARKA:
  28. Make ready 7 Dry red chilli
  29. Take 3 tbs Ghee
  30. Get 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  31. Get Nigella seeds 1/2 ts
  32. Prepare Fenugreek leaves 1 tbs
  33. Take 1 Green chilli

I am sharing my absolute favorite way to make the best Punjabi Kadhi Pakora at home. Chettinad Pakora Curry Recipe is a delicious lentil pakodas cooked in a spicy chettinad gravy. Chettinad recipes have a predominant flavour of fennel, cinnamon, garlic and red chillies making it very delectable. Though, this recipe is a bit spicy, you can alter the spiciness to your desired level.

Instructions to make Pakora Curry:
  1. CURRY RECIPE: in a blender add the yogurt, water and blend to mix it well and place it in a bowl.
  2. Now add the gram flour in the blender and fill it with water and blend.
  3. Heat oil add the onions and cook so they get soft, then add the ginger & garlic paste and fry till they get golden on high flame.
  4. Now add the tomatoes, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder mix cook on high flame till the oil comes on the surface and the masala is made.
  5. Then add the gram flour and water mixture, yogurt and water mixture and extra 1 jug of water mix well, wait for a boil and cook on low to medium for 20 to 25 minutes and starts to get thick.
  6. PAKORA RECIPE: in a bowl add the gram flour, all the spices, onions, green chilli add the water slowly and mix it to make medium batter.
  7. Heat the oil and add the batter and make pakora, fry them on medium flame till golden.
  8. Remove them and place on paper towel to drain extra oil.
  9. Then add the pakora in the curry (do not add too many pakoras as they will absorb the curry if so can add extra water and cook a little more).
  10. Add the tadka, garma masala and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.
  11. TADKA: heat ghee in a pan.
  12. Add the cumin seeds, nigella seeds, fenugreek leaves, green chill, dry red chilli fry well on high flame and add the to kadhi and mix.

It is a semi gravy that goes very well as a side dish to indian meal. KADHI PAKODA OR PAKORA (Traditional curry with Pakoras) IN INDIA & PAKISTAN. Kadhi is a type of curry made by cooking gram flour with curd or buttermilk. Fried lumps (Pakoras) of gram flour with salt and chillies are also added. It is eaten with rice or Naan in India & Pakistan.
