  4. Before making this spray, I would also recommend testing the essential oils diluted with a carrier oil on your skin first, as some people's skin may be sensitive to essential oils. Also make sure to get 100% pure lemon eucalyptus essential oil, not a blend of lemon and eucalyptus essential oils.

I use three essential oils in my essential oil bug spray - eucalyptus oil, rosemary oil and lemon oil. Rosemary essential oil acts as a repellent scent for most insects.
